I've been working with Chris for about 18 months or so at the time of writing

Prior to working with him I'd been doing a bit of a mix of programming for myself, and running some different template programs (TSA free Intermediate Program, RP Powerlifting Templates, some of the Juggernaut membership site ones etc.)

I'm generally the type of person that enjoys having control over what I'm doing, and while I enjoyed this part of the above approaches, I found myself at times...

- doubting or questioning some of the programming I was doing

- treating it quite differently to if I was programming for others

- over thinking things and as a result not really being sure where to set out volume for different stages, movements to select, frequency of movements etc.

The templates helped providing some of that, but I was still accountable only to myself which isn't ideal

So I set out to find a coach that would look after the programming side of things, give someone to be accountable to, and help me where needed with nutrition (although I didn't exactly have any major goals or priorities here outside of helping aid performance/recovery and not looking like a complete piece of shit!)

But mainly I wanted someone I could actually work and communicate with week in week out, and develop a working relationship with

Someone who would help keep me accountable, but also be an invested party in the process and goals I had in mind

Chris has fulfilled that role in spades, and over the course of our time together become someone I'd consider a good friend (yet still providing a harsh truth or kick up the arse when needed!)

While the coach/athlete relationship that has been developed is one of the main things I've enjoyed in working with Chris, there has also been plenty of progression numbers wise alongside that!

Within a little over a year there's been 82.5kg bumped onto my total, and looking set to push that out even further in a few short weeks at the next comp

Progress has been consistent, and I've enjoyed my training and programs throughout

Chris has always been there to help make course adjustments when life gets in the way, anytime I've picked up a bit of a pain/niggle, or to give a bit of a nudge to make more effort when it's necessary

Long story short, he's a top class gent and coach, who I would highly recommend!
