Chris and I have been friends brought together by powerlifting since 2014 but it wasn’t until Nationals 2016 that I had my first experience with him as a coach. The coach I had been working with at the time was not handling me for one reason or another so a friend of mine was. The Prime Time session I was competing in was tight and my handler needed some help with platform coaching. Chris stepped in, no questions asked, and helped us put together the best performance possible. From then on I secured Chris to handle me at all National and International meets that we were both attending.
Leading into the Arnold for 2018 I was looking for a new coach because I was beat down by volume, intensity, and frequency with little reward showing in my total from meet to meet. Chris was the first and only coach my mind was drawn to.
Since working with Chris, I have recovered mentally and physically because he LISTENS to what his athletes say they need. I have seen significant increases in my total despite injuries, a high stress job, and waning motivation due to burn out (unrelated to Chris as my coach). Chris and his programming has been my savor for keeping me from completely burning out and losing strength while balancing the demands of owning my own business and competing on the international platform.
